job summary

Be Bold for Change is seeking an Education Board Member (Middle and High School) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing education strategies to support middle and high school girls in achieving their full potential. This is a working board position, and the successful candidate will need to roll up their sleeves and be committed to attending monthly board meetings.

key responsibilites

  • Develop and implement education strategies to support middle and high school girls in achieving their full potential

  • Collaborate with other board members and the Executive Director to ensure messaging is aligned with the organization's mission and goals

  • Develop and manage relationships with schools and educators to provide resources and support to students

  • Develop and manage programs and initiatives to support girls in middle and high school, including mentorship programs, leadership development, and skill-building workshops

  • Use data and feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed

  • Attend monthly board meetings and actively participate in discussions and decision-making processes

  • Help recruit and onboard new board and committee members and volunteers

  • Assist in other areas of the organization as needed

qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in education, program development, or related field

  • Experience working with middle and/or high school girls, educators, schools’ districts, and other related industry organizations

  • Strong record of developing and implementing successful education programs and initiatives specifically to empower schools to drive societal change

  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making

  • Passionate about advancing gender parity for women and girls

  • Bachelor's degree in education, social work, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
