Be Bold for Change is seeking a Data and Technology Board Member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying and running day-to-day systems including Microsoft 365, CRM systems for marketing and analytics, and data visualization tools to provide insights for decision-making. This is a working board position, and the successful candidate will need to roll up their sleeves and be committed to attending monthly board meetings.
key responsibilites

Experienced in the deployment and management of Microsoft 365, Wix and GoDaddy software and applications

Develop and implement data management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Work closely with staff and volunteers to understand data needs and provide technical support for data collection, analysis, and visualization

Manage and maintain the organization's CRM system, including data entry, cleaning, and reporting, to support fundraising and marketing efforts

Provide guidance on technology and data-related decisions, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure

Collaborate with other board members and staff to identify opportunities to use technology to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness

Develop and implement strategies to improve data security and privacy, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Attend monthly board meetings and actively participate in discussions and decision-making processes
qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in data management, information technology, or related field

Experience with Microsoft 365, Wix, GoDaddy, CRM systems and data analytics, as well as data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI

Knowledge of best practices in data security, privacy, and compliance

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate technical information to non-technical stakeholders

Effective communication and people skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with board members, staff, and volunteers

Bachelor's degree in information technology, data management, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
