Be Bold for Change is seeking an Intergenerational Community Engagement Board Member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing strategies for building and maintaining intergenerational communities. This is a working board position, and the successful candidate will need to roll up their sleeves and be committed to attending monthly board meetings.
key responsibilites

Develop and implement low cost-high, impact strategies to build and maintain intergenerational communities within the organization

Collaborate with other board members and staff to develop and execute community engagement programs and events that are inclusive of all age groups

Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, partners, and stakeholders of all ages

Drive the growth of the organization's social media presence and engagement among intergenerational audiences

Create content and messaging that resonates with intergenerational audiences to promote the organization's mission and programs

Work with staff and volunteers to organize and execute community events and initiatives that foster intergenerational connections both online and in-person

Attend monthly board meetings and actively participate in discussions and decision-making processes
qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in community engagement, marketing, or related field

Experience working with diverse age groups in a nonprofit setting

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders of all ages

Experience in creating and expanding digital and in-person intergenerational communities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and messaging for all age groups

Proficient in social media platforms and digital marketing strategies that reach intergenerational audiences

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
